This retreat is open to both beginning and experienced practitioners. While the retreat will be conducted mainly in silence, there will also be Dharma talks and question-and-answer periods. As is the tradition with meditation retreats, all attendees will have a private interview period with Ajahn Da to further aid their practice.
The retreat includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and breakfast and lunch on Monday. Breakfasts will consist of bread, cereals, milk, and fruit. A full Thai lunch will be served each day, and dinner will be soup and salad with bread and a selection of cheeses. A full kitchen is available for those who wish to bring their own food.
Many local attendees will probably choose to commute from home for this retreat, though there are a few beds at the Center that can be reserved on a first come basis by those traveling from afar. Out-of-town participants may also request a list of nearby accommodations by contacting Redding@CfMIM.org. Alternatively, there is space available on the grounds for those who wish to pitch a tent or inside on the floor for those who would like to “camp out” for the retreat.

Covid Policy
While we are doing our best to follow expert guidelines for making the environment as safe as possible, the spread of the virus is ultimately beyond our control, so you should make your own determination as to whether it is appropriate for you to come.
Advance Registration is Required
Because social distancing means limiting the number of people in the meditation hall at one time, you must sign up in advance to attend. You may register weeks in advance or right before a class, but you won’t be able to register if we’ve already reached our maximum.
Face Coverings
Facemasks are not required but are recommended when social distancing is not possible. Please follow the Centers for Disease Control and Connecticut state guidelines.
Maintain Social Distancing
Attendees are asked to mindfully maintain their distance from one another while on the property.
