Please support the Center

We are a nonprofit organization entirely funded by our local members. Even though the monks offer their teaching to us at no charge, the costs to keep the Center running are considerable – averaging about $90,000 per year. These costs include heat, electricity, insurance, building and grounds maintenance, and food and travel expenses for our clergy.

If you believe in the work we are doing at the Center and feel that it has enriched your life in some way, please consider doing your share by chipping in. We urge you to contribute in any way you can.

One-time donation

Monetary donations are beneficial in keeping our center up and running with regular activities and opportunities for community involvement. If you would like to help us in this capacity,  you can make an online donation here or send us a check payable to the Redding Meditation Society at this address:

Non-monetary donations

  • Donate tea for the meditation hall
  • Donate snacks and drinks for the Family Program
  • Donate other materials we need: paper goods, kitchen goods, and office material
  • Offer a meal for monks: in Thailand, offering food for monks is a way for practitioners to receive teaching, to get to know their teachers, and to support the monastic structure.
  • Donate books for our Buddhist Library
  • Share your other ideas for donations
