3-Day Fall Retreat
In personWith Thai forest monks and meditation masters, Ajahn Da Nilpant, Phra Tavivat Sukhavatthano, Nipon Pisutpaisal, assisted by psychologist, Michael Bresnan
This retreat is highly recommended and offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your meditation practice by cultivating self-awareness over an extended period, free from distractions. The retreat will run from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, October 3rd, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Saturday, October 4th, and from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 5th. Ajahn Da, an ordained Thai Forest Monk with decades of teaching experience, is currently the Abbott of our center in Redding, CT. Phra Tavivat Sukhavatthano, Nipon Pisutpaisal, assisted by Michael Bresnan, a licensed psychologist with over 30 years of insight meditation practice, founded our centers in Connecticut and Massachusetts. This retreat is open to both novice and experienced practitioners. Although primarily conducted in silence, there will be Dharma talks and Q&A sessions. In keeping with tradition for meditation retreats, all attendees will also have a private interview with Ajahn Da to support their practice and progress. A Thai lunch and dinner will be served on Saturday, and lunch will be served on Sunday. A fully equipped kitchen is available for those who wish to bring their own food. Many local attendees will likely choose to commute from home; however, a few beds at the center can be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis for those traveling from afar. Out-of-town participants may also request a list of nearby accommodations by contacting michael.s@cfmim.org.

Covid Policy
While we are doing our best to follow expert guidelines for making the environment as safe as possible, the spread of the virus is ultimately beyond our control, so you should make your own determination as to whether it is appropriate for you to come.
Advance Registration is Required
Because social distancing means limiting the number of people in the meditation hall at one time, you must sign up in advance to attend. You may register weeks in advance or right before a class, but you won’t be able to register if we’ve already reached our maximum.
Face Coverings
Facemasks are not required but are recommended when social distancing is not possible. Please follow the Centers for Disease Control and Connecticut state guidelines.
Maintain Social Distancing
Attendees are asked to mindfully maintain their distance from one another while on the property.
